01. OUR STORY
Escooh was founded in 2013 in Sicily as an innovative start-up from an idea by Antonio Rizzuto.
Two years after its founding, in 2015, following an internationalization process, it entered developing markets: between 2016 and 2019 it opened branches in Doha, Hamburg, and Albania, establishing partnerships with local sponsors. In 2019, Escooh was awarded the “Economic Progress in the Digital Age” prize for the significant contribution to the development of the area conferred by the Chamber of Commerce of Agrigento.
In 2020 it inaugurates the opening of a new operational headquarters in Sicily, in Favara (Ag), and the partnership with Milia S.r.l., the largest furniture store in southern Italy.
Since 2018 it has become an innovative SME, a producer of materials for the wood supply chain, design, and high value sustainable construction, following and guiding its customers by offering solutions of new conception, technologically advanced, and tailored.

OUR VALUES
La cura la necessità lavoro di squadra, la cura di un ambiente lavorativo positivo, la progettazione di un prodotto creativo e innovativo
03. SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is one of the main points of Escooh's philosophy.
This is reflected in the use of natural materials, wood obtained from private forests or from tree material felled for various reasons (construction of public works, highways, private projects, fires, or natural calamitous events) and circular economy practices.
Escooh's commitment to sustainability focuses on reforesting Sicily, Southern Italy, and managing private forests for purposes related to the production of rare and exclusive timber for furnishings. At the moment, there is no entity in Sicily capable of managing raw materials for forestation purposes and handling such materials. Owning rare raw materials, as demonstrated by the past, is the foundation of strong and stable projects. A reforestation project is well received in the Sicilian and Italian local communities, serving as examples for virtuous projects. New tourism and high-end rural hospitality projects can emerge from the forest, fruits (such as walnuts) can be utilized for food purposes, product transformations into oils and extracts for pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetic use. The resulting industry would have a positive impact on communities, increasing construction and local GDP to the benefit of our society and the community.
The Escooh project aims to improve this data (carbon stock), especially for Southern Italy and the Mediterranean area, with an estimated value of 50,000 cubic meters of annual production at full capacity, equivalent to 30 million tons of annual timber production and distribution of structural materials for interior, exterior, and wooden constructions. Additionally, through reforestation projects, in collaboration with private land operators and local government bodies, estimated at 100 hectares per year, the carbon stock will increase by an amount equivalent to 64,000 cubic meters.
ESCOOH PROJECT
Woody products therefore represent a carbon stock, with a role in the carbon cycle and greenhouse effect.
04. EMERGING DESIGNERS
Escooh supports emerging architects for the growth of future generations.
Its collections are designed by designers from all over the world who are passionate about nature, art, and design. Ours is a shared sustainability where the boundaries between material and social blend for a greater and lasting good.
