Milia Living Home is one of the most important high-end furniture distributors in Sicily, operating in the area for over twenty years. It is based in Favara, in the province of Agrigento, with a showroom of 2500 square meters on three levels. In 2018, the company turned to Escooh for the setup of the Poltrona Frau exhibition area. The partition walls, made of solid natural oak, divide the living areas from the bedrooms of Poltrona Frau. On the ground floor, two mezzanines separate the entrance from the area dedicated to consultancy, which also houses the leather display unit also made by Escooh.

Each of the mezzanines consists of two elements of 3350x1217 mm in solid natural oak with vertical slats in a regular mesh pattern anchored to the ceiling. The vertical slats, 8 for each partition, are connected to each other with two 8 mm diameter threaded bars, coated with bronzed tubular, spaced 7.5 cm apart and positioned 700 mm from the horizontal elements that serve as the frame. All slats have a 45° cut and are arranged with a 30° inclination. The result is an imposing dividing wall for the full expression of solid wood, yet at the same time made light by the processing of oblique slats. Light filters into the rooms, highlighting and appreciating the shine and grain of the open-pore wood.

The display walls for the Poltrona Frau leather collections, located on the ground floor, are made of matte gray lacquered wood using the NES S4005Y50R paint and a contrasting shelving system to display the Poltrona Frau leather collection.
The two mirrored walls are inserted into an existing masonry and separated by a pillar of 950 mm. They have a length of 2525 mm, a height of 3050 mm, and a thickness of 420 mm. The backrest consists of 4 panels of 1513 fitted together and, in turn, with the front panels, cut at a 45° angle. These latter panels have a 2 mm chamfer between them, which, when finished, provides greater definition to the various elements of the wall. The 45° angle wood cutting is a technique often chosen by Escooh because it allows for a consistent piece of furniture, as if it were carved from a single block, very pleasing to the eye and suitable for furnishing environments that aim to be lovely, sober, and essential in their elegance.

In the center of the walls, the 25mm mdf shelving system was installed. The outer frame, fixed with pressure steel pins, encloses 44 horizontal elements divided into 4 columns for each wall. The shelves, measuring 60x12.3 cm, were milled inside at 6mm to accommodate the leather samples and were fixed using an inter-wall joining system. Wood cutting and processing techniques, anti-fingerprint, anti-stain finishes, formaldehyde-free, combined with meticulous attention to detail, allowed Escooh to create the most suitable solutions for Milia's showroom for an ambitious exhibition setup, which required all of Escooh's expertise to highlight furniture famous worldwide for their expression of Italian taste.
